Who is Sommer Wayne Dyer?

Sommer Wayne Dyer is the daughter of an American self-help author and a motivational speaker, Wayne Dyer.

Born to Wayne and Marcelene Dyer, Sommer grew up in a large family as one of eight children.

Self-help guru Wayne Dyer earned notability after completing an Ed.D. in guidance and counselling at Wayne State University in 1970 and went on to release over 40 books on self-development. His first book for general readers, Your Erroneous Zones was published in 1976 and instantly became an international bestseller.

Sadly, Wayne Dyer passed away in 2015 when Sommer was 32 years old.

Later in life, Sommer, a writer and avid traveller, moved to Costa Rica. In late 2020, she welcomed a son, Haze, with her partner Julian.

Sadly, Haze passed away in October 2020 at just 18 days old. Serena Dyer, Sommer's sister, confirmed Haze's passing on her account. "Haze Wesley passed away peacefully in his sleep after midnight on October 11," a statement read.

Sommer later shared an Instagram post at Haze's grave, going on to write a sentimental message about her late father and son. "Thank you dad for all that you continue to be. I know you And Haze are up there together," she shared.

"Thank you for sending me so many signs, and for sending strength when I need it. Thank you for doing your work, in turn we have all benefited. And I expect you to continue to guide and inspire me as I write a book of my own. It's time."

Sommer's sibling Saje also penned a heartfelt message, writing: "Sommer, my sister. Where do I even begin. My whole life I have watched you light up every room you walked into with your magnetic and golden energy. Your whit was unmatched and your kindness to others knew no bounds. My only wish is that you could have given yourself that same love that you so constantly and effortlessly poured onto everyone who crossed your path.

"We were sisters, cut from the same cloth. I will forever cherish that I was given 38 years as your little sister. I will look for your signs and carry you close to my heart always."
